Fury and Grace is a project of Hagar's Community Church, inspired by and showcasing the artwork and poetry created inside the Washington Corrections Center for Women. Pastor Layne's creativity and encouragement of art as spiritual practice breathes life and color into worship and discipleship at HCC - this book invites you into their experience.

Fury and Grace takes you on a passionate pilgrimage using scripture, poetry, paintings and prayers from the dust of Ash Wednesday to the dawn of Resurrection Sunday. This artful Lenten guide invites you to walk with members of Hagar's Community Church - a church behind bars - and to walk with Jesus - who knows what it is like to be arrested, rejected, and despised - as we take a spiritual journey together through this sacred season.

The book includes daily devotionals for Lent, Holy Week, and Easter - each day features art by a member of HCC alongside a scripture (following the Revised Common Lectionary), reflection, prompt, and prayer.

When you buy the book, 100% of the profits go directly
